THE TASK
In 2018, the University of Potsdam, the Brandenburg Technical University of Cottbus-Senftenberg and the Brandenburg Medical School Theodor Fontane founded a joint faculty for health sciences. UVA was commissioned to develop the corporate design (CD) and a website.
THE CONCEPT
The CD should show that it is a new, joint project by three prominent partners. The new claim should fit all target groups, reflect all ambitions and work regionally as well as internationally.
A special feature of the website was the breadth of interest groups that had to be taken into account when developing the content structure: students, lecturers, professors, scientists and specialists, future applicants, companies from the health sector, in the regional and international area, as well as representatives from politics and media, and last but not least the great versatility and high complexity of the subject itself.
THE IMPLEMENTATION
In the course of the development, several workshops were held with all partners in order to capture all the needs and priorities of the three partners involved. The claim was also developed in close cooperation with all those involved.
The logo in molecule optics was developed from an idea of the customer and became an important feature of the CD. The basic idea of the molecular structure can be found in almost all graphic elements. It stands for science, data, research, collaboration and networking.
THE RESULT
In addition to the molecular structure, it is above all the colors that give a clear, scientific impression: dark, cool blue tones with red accents in a generous white space.
The claim: “One faculty – three universities. Competence in health research, promotion of young talent and knowledge transfer” is a clear, strong statement, the content of the three universities is obvious, the claim – we are competence – is immediately clear.
An important feature is an integrated publication database, as well as an internal area (intranet).
